The idea of all natural makeup has really taken hold in recent years, but many shoppers still feel a bit lost as to where they can actually buy it. It’s generally not in grocery store cosmetics sections, and typical offerings found in national franchises can be costly — prohibitively so for some.
I formed Pure and Light Minerals because I had the same challenges, with most of the makeup I’d tried that was called “natural” ending up causing skin irritations or clogging up my pores.
The result, after some experimentation, was a natural makeup that doesn’t run or streak, doesn’t clog pores, and is easy to make in a variety of beautiful colors.

Modern natural makeup isn’t oily or glossy.
Years ago when the first all natural makeup solutions hit the shelves, back when largely you could only get them from health food stores, most of what was available seemed to have a weird consistency.
Some women even blogged that the early natural makeup options didn’t seem to work. Either it still caused the issues they were trying to avoid or it just didn’t stay on without fading or rubbing off too easily throughout the day.
Modern natural makeup has come a long way, to say the least.
A 100% paraben-free solution.
Until more recently no one was really concerned about parabens. But these days more and more products are released proclaiming they are paraben-free, and for good reason.
Among many negatives that come along with parabens, they’ve been directly linked to breast cancer. Along with avobenzone and propylene glycol (used as a de-icer) that also find their way into common types of makeup, and you cna begin to see the pattern in “traditional” makeup formats.
